Austria. Order of the Iron Crown, Grand Cross (1st Class) Badge. Gilt bronze & enamels, 80mm x 45mm. Without star punch of official late WW I gilt AE issues, and likely a post-war wearing or collector's copy, possibly of 1920s-30s manufacture. Marked indistinctly.on the reverse of one pendula, "A.P", this struck above a smaller "AK", possibly from the workshop of A. Kochert, Vienna. As Werlich-122, Vernon-22. A tiny chip on the reverse above the first 1 of the 1815 date, otherwide Extremely Fine with a full length sash, and handsomely mounted and framed for display.
