Attica. Athens, c. 449-404 BC. AR Tetradrachm (17.12 g). Head of Athena right, in crested helmet with leaves and palmette decoration. Reverse: Owl right, sprig of olive behind; ethnic at right. Starr no. 7; SNG Cop. 31ff.; Dewing 1613. Bold, full strike. Fine metal and surfaces, with very appealing slightly iridescent blue-gray toning. Choice Very Fine or better.
