1852 N-11 R1 PCGS graded MS63 Red & Brown, CAC Approved. Frosty mint red mellowing to steel brown on the highpoints with two-thirds of the faded mint color remaining visible, mostly on the obverse. Just a few minor marks, including a spot of darker steel toning in the center of the neck, a thin diagonal nick above this spot, and a small diagonal nick on the chin. MDS, die state d. The fields are covered with die flowlines and the small spur from the dentils over the U in UNITED is gone. Our grade is MS63, tied for CC#6 with many other examples in the Grellman census. The attribution and Iskra provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; 2 finer, 1 in 63+, 1 in 65 for the variety at PCGS. Estimated Value $500-UP
