1797 S-141 R4 F12+. Sharpness EF45 but most of the planchet shows very fine roughness and there are patches of stronger roughness on the 97, at the tips of the hair ribbon, and on the upper part of the reverse. Mostly glossy chocolate and light olive with a few traces of darker olive brown verdigris in a couple places. A minor rim nick at BE in LIBERTY is the only notable contact mark. Nicely struck M-LDS, Breen state III, with a strong die break up through the ribbon end left of the fraction to the C in CENT where it fades out. One of the sharpest examples known of this tough die variety. Called AU50 sharpness net F15 by Del Bland.
