Lot 2647

1889-O. PCGS graded MS-65. A frosty mint gem with stunning multi-color rainbow toning across the obverse. Metal flow enhances the glittering mint luster that covers the surfaces, giving the coin a shimmering, glowing appearance as it propels the colorful toning into your field of vision. The original mint brilliance is only interrupted by an occasional out of the way bagmark. Both the peripheries and the central reverse are detailed and close to 100% crisp for their sharpness of strike, which is a forceful reminder in a coin from this Southern mint that it is quality that counts. Pop 138; 9 finer in 66 (PCGS # 7192) .
Estimated Value $5,000 - 5,500.
