Lot 256

1914-D Lincoln Cent. PCGS graded MS-64 Brown. One of the toughest and most popular dates in the entire series. This one has glossy surfaces and some faded Mint Red that isn't accounted for in the "Brown" designation. We've maintained for a long time that it would be helpful if the Brown, Red-Brown, and Red designations were replaced by an actual measurement of the Mint Red (i.e. 40% Red). The coin offered here is a perfect example because, all else being equal, a coin with faded Mint Red should be worth more than a purely Brown one. At least, that's our opinion.
Estimated Value $2,000 - 2,500.

Realized $2,933
