Phocas, 602-610. Gold Solidus (4.32 g) minted at Constantinople. Facing, crowned bust of Phocas holding globus cruciger. Reverse: Angel standing, facing, with globus cruciger and long staff. D.O. 10; S. 620. Usual weakly struck areas, lustrous. NGC graded MS: Strike 4/5; Surface 3/5; clipped.

The NGC grades of "MS" (Mint State) and "UNC" (Uncirculated) are not normally used for ancient coins.
