1847 N-35 R3+ VF20. Sharpness VF35 with a half dozen light pinscratches across the jawline and neck, a couple extending into the field under the chin. The only other mark is a small spot of reddish carbon in the field at the throat. Frosty steel brown with lustrous lighter steel brown toning covering the protected areas. Weakly struck in the centers, as usual for the variety. LDS, die state c, with a fine die crack passing through the base of the date. The obverse rim cuds of the terminal die state have not formed.
