Starr, Blaze (1932-2015) Born Fannie Belle Fleming in rural West Virginia, Blaze was a voluptuous and by all measure, a sensational and popular burlesque star with flaming red hair. In the late 50s, she gained even greater national notoriety with her affair with Gov. Earl K. Long of Louisiana. Her memoirs about her life were published in 1974 and was the source material for the film BLAZE starring Lolita Davidovich. She also claimed to have brief trysts with President John Kennedy which one is recounted in this colorful letter. These letters (all slightly different in content some sexual, others seeing Lincoln's ghost) come to market time to time and are very popular. All are hand written in her later years to make extra money along with the jewelry she would sell in Baltimore. Here she goes into detail of an encounter with JFK in a large closet with LBJ standing guard with a self-portrait a small sketch of her famous torso, a rose, a lipstick print and her signature dated May 30, 1996 all executed boldly on 8½ x 11" notebook paper. Comes with COA by RR Auctions. Estimated Value $400 - 600

Realized $180
