Isaac II, 1185-1195. Gold hyperpyron (4.2g). Mint of Constantinople. The Virgin enthroned facing, nimbate and wearing pallium and maphorium; she holds infant Christ. Reverse: Isaac (on l.) and the Archangel Michael, beardless (on r.) both standing facing, holding between them sword in sheath. S-2001. Extremely Fine.
