Mn. Cordius Rufus, moneyer. AR Denarius minted at Rome, c. 46 BC. Conjoined heads right of the Dioscuri, each wearing pileus surmounted by a star. Reverse: Venus Verticordia standing left, holding scales and scepter; on her shoulder, Cupid. Cordia 2c; Cr. 463/1b; Syd. 976b. Extremely Fine.

Iridescently toned in teal and electric blue, the color and quality of the surfaces resemble more the late 19th century proof coinage of the United States!
