The Virgin stg. facing on footstool, nimbate and with her hands uplifted (orans), nimbate head. of the infant Christ on her breast. Rev. Andronicus and Christ, as previous, but emperor wears chlamys instead of loros and holds akakia instead of gl. cr. DOC 2a; Hendy pl. 18, 11; Sear 1984. Extremely Fine and rare.
