Austria. Guldiner, 1486. Levinson-IV-49a; Frey-274; Dav-8087. Hall mint. Sigismund, 1439-1490. Full length, front-facing figure of the Archduke, holding sword and septer, helmet and designs in field with inner obverse border. Reverse Knight on horseback galloping right surrounded by sixteen small shields, 1486 below. Plugged and repaired at the top and the fields have been expertly smoothed. Bold example of this first dated crown. Very Fine.
