Lot 2265

Great Britain. Farthing, 1694. S-3453. Rare variety with error in the king's name, which appears as "GVLIPLMVS' (P for E). William & Mary, conjoined busts. Sharp detail but a 'find coin' having deep jade-green patina. In fact, found in Bath, England, and very likely a donative piece to one of the wishing wells at the ancient Roman baths there. Unusual and very pretty appearance, much like a quality ancient bronze. Very Fine.
Estimated Value $200 - 250.

Realized $253
