1841 N-3 R2 MS60. Lustrous steel brown delicately woodgrained with medium brown on the obverse. The reverse has faded mint red in protected areas. No contact marks or spots. The only defect is a shallow planchet void that weakens the dentils and rim under star 13, as struck. MDS, die state c. The recutting at the top of the 18 is gone, the die cracks are clear on both sides, and the die lines over the N in UNITED and C in AMERICA remain visible. Tied for CC#5 in the Grellman census. DWH #2013.
