Lot 2196

1934 Maryland Half Dollar. PCGS graded MS-66. Frosty white gem. Pop 318; 43 in 67 as best by PCGS. From one end to the other the intense silvery luster gyrates with almost atomic intensity. Furthermore, on this 1934 specimen, a sharp impression was left by the recoil of the dies, including Calvert's nose (an area often left flat or granular because of its prominence on his three-quarters facing profile) (PCGS # 9328) .
Estimated Value $700 - 800.
