1798 S-166 R1 Style II Hair, Large 8. PCGS graded VF-35. Frosty medium chocolate brown with a swipe of grayish steel toning over TES in STATES. No notable contact marks or other defects. MDS, Breen state IV, with a narrow rim cud break over ST in STATES. The always-present arc crack through the E in UNITED, wreath, and fraction is strong and the reverse is rotated 35 degrees CCW. The obverse is clearly misaligned to K-9; the reverse is misaligned a small amount to K-12. Our grade is VF30 (PCGS # 1434) .
