$5 Liberty. 1841-C. NGC graded MS-61. One of the finest graded by NGC of this rare date, with just 4 seen this high and a single coin graded higher (that an MS-64). The surfaces show moderate handling marks primarily in the fields, as the lettering and devices tend to deflect contact marks. An extreme rarity in mint state, and always in demand from this Southern mint.
