1805 Draped Bust Half Cent. Small 5, stems. . C-3, R4. Fair-2. A few points sharper but idle hands added over a dozen rim nicks or gouges around the obverse. The surfaces are decent but do show minor roughness in places. Slightly glossy dark steel and chocolate with reddish steel tints on the left half of the obverse. On the positive side of this report, the date and stems are clear, as is the majority of the legend. The bulge in the field before the portrait is weak indicating a rather early die state.
