Lot 1943

1918/7-D Buffalo Nickel. PCGS graded VF-20. Popular key date. Light original toning with the deepest recesses the most toned. A sharp, clear strike insures full and immediate demarcation of the key features, with the 8 clearly imprinted over an earlier 7. This was done in the hubbing step while the die was being made. A rare occurrence on a 20th century issue (PCGS # 3939) .
Estimated Value $4,000 - 4,400.

Realized $5,060
