Lot 1928

1904. PCGS graded MS-62 PQ. CAC Approved. Nice mirror surfaces. As we've mentioned elsewhere, it is believed that only the first few hundred strikes from new dies retain evidence of prooflike surface. With continued striking, the more familiar luster appears, removing any residual traces of the original mirror surface of a brand new die (PCGS # 9045) .
Estimated Value $1,750 - 1,800.

Realized $2,214
