Ptolemaic Kingdom. Ptolemy VI Philometor. Silver Didrachm (6.60 g), second reign, 163-145 BC. Uncertain mint, possibly Cyprus or Pelousion, CY 109 (154/3 BC). Diademed head of Ptolemy I right, wearing aegis. Reverse: BAΣIΛEΩΣ ΠTOΛEMAIOY, eagle standing left on thunderbolt; across field, date (P-Θ). Svoronos 1216; SNG Copenhagen 556; DCA 76. Rare. Nicely toned. We note some filing on edges, thus apparently ex jewelry. About Extremely Fine. Estimate Value $400 - 500
