1870 Quarter Dollar Octagonal Liberty. Breen and Gillio-753. Rarity 6. NGC graded MS-61. Light toning about the borders on the obverse with a hint of toning on the reverse. Has a somewhat "rustic" appearance to the surface texture. This is one of the weirdest ones, evidently the die engraver slipped up and inserted the large G below the bust sideways! It happens. Pop 2; 1 finer in 62.
