1853 Dollar Octagonal Liberty. BG-530. Rarity 2. PCGS graded AU-53. Housed in an Old Green Holder. Untoned. A few small marks in the surface and one by the eye. Lustrous and well made for this early Period One Type. The $1 denomination is the most difficult to find in the California Fractional series. Pop 24 (PCGS # 10507) .
