Lot 1830

1923-S Liberty Standing Quarter Dollar. NGC graded MS-67 Full Head. Satiny mint luster, violet that deepens a bit about the borders. A major rarity for the quarter specialist in this grade. The surfaces are showy with smooth luster, great color, and show none of the muting often seen on 1923-S quarters. A rare date in any quality, this superb coin excels most others in showing that devices were struck with such force and determination by the dies that elements show with razor-edge detail. A beautifully toned specimen. Watch as the bidding action on this piece gets underway. We expect to see it ascend with such a rare burst of speed that you'll be made dizzy by the bidding. Pop 4; 1 better in MS67 FH Star.
Estimated Value $10,000 - 12,000.

Realized $13,225
