1846 N-26 R5+ Tall Date Repunched 1 VF25. Ten points sharper but covered with extremely fine granularity, the roughness so minor that the surfaces are glossy and attractive to the unaided eye. There is a faint hairline scratch on the cheek and another left of star 12, plus a couple small nicks in the field right of star 3. MDS, die state b. The point of the spike under M is visible but dull and the N in UNITED is filled with crumbling. The repunching across the upright of the 1 is clear. Tied for CC#4 with several examples in the Grellman census. DWH #2060.
