1878 $20 Liberty. PCGS graded MS-63. A nice frosty untoned coin. Bright satiny gold color erupts from original surfaces untouched by toning and devoid of marks. A strong strike as well, making this an advantageous coin for the focused collector. Probably a good many are not as carefully made as this remarkable 1878 $20, with no suggestion or even a whisper of weakness at the stars, hair, or eagle. Pop 23; 8 in 64 (PCGS # 8985) .
