1856 N-1 R1. NGC graded MS-64 Brown. Slanted 5. Frosty light bluish steel brown with 15% of the mint red showing, mostly on the reverse. A very shallow and barely visible planchet flake on the neck and a tiny tick on the rim at TE in UNITED are the best identifying marks on this cent. The fields are satiny and the eye appeal is excellent. MDS, die state b. EAC grade MS63, tied for CC#5.
