1855-C Type 2. Sharpness of VG-7 but worn as jewelry. The design elements show more wear on the obverse, while the reverse is sharp and appears to be a grade better. The rims have some evidence of mounting or other form of being held in a jewelry bezel. A scarce, low mintage date, with few coins to satisfy date collector demand. One that should be inspected.
