Lot 1524

1838 N-1 R1. PCGS graded MS-64 Red & Brown. Frosty bluish steel brown with underlying very faded mint color showing through on both sides. The surfaces are satiny and the eye appeal of this cent is choice except for a speck of carbon inside the 3 in the date and numerous faint specks of dark toning (not carbon) on the reverse. Nicely struck E-MDS with a series of small rim cud breaks over star 7. The repunching on the 1 in the date and the I in UNITED remains clear. EAC grade MS62.
Estimated Value $500 - 750.
