Lot 1520

1902 Barber Half Dollar. NGC graded Proof 66. Fully white coin. The surfaces are highly lustrous and each side has a light coating of white patina on the otherwise "all brilliant" devices that swirls and resonates on the eye. A dampened impression is now and then founded from the weak rebound of the dies that made Proofs around this time; however, rather than being halfhearted, this particular coin's design is boldly crisp. Only 777 proofs struck. Has a nice cameo effect. Pop 22; 14 finer. (PCGS # 6549) .
Estimated Value $3,500 - 4,000.
