1846 N-12 R1 Tall Date VF30. Ten points sharper but covered with tiny nicks, none notable but too many for the sharpness grade. There is some minor planchet roughness at ATES-OF-A, and this appears to be from debris on the die. Attractive glossy light steel brown. Rare LDS, die state i, with a series of clear rim cud breaks from star 1 clockwise to star 5 with another at stars 5-6. The margins of the rim cuds are very clearly defined. Tied for finest of only 11 known in this die state. DWH #1002.
