1808 S-278 R3. Fine-15. Turban Head. Sharpness near VF30 but extremely faint granularity covers both sides, strongest on the reverse. The roughness is well hidden under a mostly glossy dark olive and steel patina. No verdigris. There are a few small contact marks, including a shallow dig in the field before the eye and a couple faint hairline scratches in the obverse fields. LDS, Breen state VI, with a clear rim cud break from star 5 to star 7.
