1846 N-5 R2 Repunched Date MS60. Frosty steel brown, the reverse a slightly darker shade of bluish steel. The only mark is a spot of microscopic roughness left of star 1. MDS, die state c. The die lines at star 13 are gone and a couple tiny rim cuds show at stars 10 & 11. Repunching shows on all 4 digits of the date, clearest under the base of the 1. Tied for CC#6 in the Grellman census. Removed from an NGC slab graded MS63BN (NGC label included). DWH #2046.
