Lot 1233
1942/1 Overdate. PCGS graded MS-64. A very choice coin, well struck too, with nearly full bands on the reverse. Untoned and very difficult to locate in this choice state of preservation. Naked eye overdate, with no attempt made to cover over the earlier final "1" of the date before adding the "2". A classic Mint blunder, and one of the key dates to the Mercury Dime series. No mean task to locate one this nice!
