Lot 1201

1906-O. NGC graded MS-67. Here's a branch-mint Barber near the top of the Pop reports. NGC has given the MS67 designation to just 4 of these, with one MS68 out there somewhere. PCGS has found 3 to grade MS67, and none better. The deep toning on the obverse is a bit mottled here, with splashes of bright blue surrounding silvery gray and gold centers. The reverse has a superb appearance: bright blue iridescence on the periphery softening to silvery gold brilliance in the center. The strike is bold all over, and the New Orleans mintmark sharp.
