Lot 1123

1911 Barber Half Dollar. PCGS graded Proof 68. Lovely shades of blue and gold toning. Only 543 Proofs issued. A intensely pleasing specimen with superb preserved surfaces. The contrast is impressive, though obscured some by the deep colors, as this multifaceted Gem Proof has fully original surfaces. Even a close exam under magnification fails to disclose any marks or other likely problem spots. Mintage of Proof Barber coinage gradually lessened as the years progressed. 1911 is the third lowest production of the type. Pop 4; none finer at PCGS (PCGS # 6558) .
Estimated Value $11,000 - 13,000.

Realized $14,375
