One of the Finest Known 1873 "Open 3" Two-Centers. PCGS graded Proof 66 Red. Vibrant red color throughout, and perfectly struck. One of just 500 coined in Proof, and obviously one of the very best to survive to this day.
This rarity is way up in the Condition Census count, as well you might imagine it would be. Pop: PCGS, 3 only this superb and full red. NGC: the same (multiple submissions possible). Really, hyperbole aside, this is a real condition rarity which deserves recognition by advanced collectors, whether of 2c pieces or of type coins, as it would fit splendidly into either kind of collection, wouldn't it?
