Lot 1063

1845 N-4 R1 PCGS graded MS63 Brown. Repunched 5. Glossy light chocolate brown with traces of mint red showing on both sides. No defects, but there is a hint of rub on the highest points. A good identifying mark is a small spot of slightly darker chocolate toning left of star 4. MDS, die state c, showing a few fine die cracks on the reverse. The repunching on the 5 remains sharp. Our grade is AU58. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. Pop 1; none finer at PCGS in Brown.
Estimated Value $200-UP.
Ex Bowers & Merena FPL 3/91.
