  Israel. Trio of Silver State Medals: 1958 Valour and 1963 Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. The Valour medal's obverse depicts the Roaring Lion memorial at Tel Hai in Upper Galilee, commemorating the heroism of Joseph Trumpeldor and his comrades in 1920. The biblical passage "For the builders everyone had his sword girded by his side" (Nehemiah 4:12) symbolizes the necessity for the IDF to be ever vigilant. One of 1,010 made by Emanograph from 59mm, 117gm of .935 silver. made by Emanograph with shiny finish. On the obverse of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising medal is the figure of Mordechai Anilewitz, the Commander of the Warsaw Ghetto uprising, on a background of the ruins of the House of Israel. The figure is based on the statue created by Nathan Rappaport, erected at Kibbutz Yad Mordechai. One of 180 minted by Zechovoy from 59mm, 110gm of .935 silver. The obverse of the Israel-Jordan Peace Agreement 50mm, 60gm of .935 silver medal features Israel and Jordan flags with an olive branch on them; Inscribed "PEACE AGREEMENT ISRAEL-JORDAN" in Hebrew and Arabic above and in English below. The reverse design is a Star of David and a crescent joined together with a dove holding olive branch in its beak. Estimate Value $300 - 400

It is extremely rare that one of these sets are available in the marketplace. This is an unusual opportunity for an investor, collector, dealer or ebayer to obtain a quantity. Israel. Rare Lot of Four Israel Festival Presentation Medals: 1963, 1964, 1965 (English), 1965 (Hebrew). Each of these rare presentation medals is 59mm, silver-plated tombac. On each medal's obverse appears the Hebrew inscription "The Israel Festival and the Hebrew date". To the right is the Festival emblem, and beneath in smaller letters the inscription in English. The reverse shows from top to bottom three incuse as asymmetrical squares containing musical instruments, a theatrical mask and ballet shoes. An inscription in English appears on three medals, in Hebrew on one of the 1965 medals: "Presented by the Prime Minister's Office." In 1963, an unspecified and undocumented number of bronze medals with the dedication "Presented by the Prime Minister's Office" was issued by the IGCMC as a silver plated version. The 1964 silver plated version is an official issue of the IGCMC, and according to its archives only very few pieces were silver plated; however, it is undocumented in the IGCMC catalog. The 1965 Festival Medal has unknown mintage with English inscription, and is extremely rare with the Hebrew inscription about the Israel Festival on the reverse. Estimate Value $750 - 1,000

Israel. Rare Lot of Four 1969 Jerusalem Mayor's Presentation Medals featuring Jerusalem Panorama. These are all rare, with undocumented mintages. The medal's obverse depicts the emblem of the city of Jerusalem, a rampant lion standing on the wall, olive branches on both sides. The word "Jerusalem" appears in Hebrew, Arabic and English. The reverse shows a schematic panorama of united Jerusalem with the Old City wall in the foreground.
First medal is 59mm tombac without dedication and signature on reverse. Second is 59mm tombac, inscribed: WITH COMPLIMENTS and signature of Mayor Teddy Kollek in English on reverse. Third is 59mm tombac, inscribed: PRESENTED and signature of Mayor Teddy Kollek in Hebrew on reverse. Fourth is 59mm 115gm of.935 silver, without dedication and signature on reverse. Israel. Rare Pair of 45mm Silver Presentation State Medals 1971 Bank of Israel and 1973 Tel Aviv-Yafo. The Bank of Israel obverse has a Hebrew and English inscription "Bank of Israel" and six subjects found on ancient Hebrew and/or Modern Israel coins. The reverse depicts a schematic panorama of Jerusalem, and the inscription "Jerusalem" in Hebrew and English. Only 250 made from 47gm of .935 silver. The Tel Aviv-Yafo obverse depicts the Tel Aviv-Yafo municipal emblem. Below, an inscription in Hebrew "Tel Aviv-Yafo" and on the right the name of the city in English. On the rim, the citation "Again I shall build thee" in Hebrew and English. The source is marked in both languages as "Jeremiah 31:4." The reverse shows a stylized panorama of Tel Aviv-Yafo; one sees the Shalom Tower, the Hilton Hotel, the Tel Aviv Museum, the Basketball Stadium, the Central Synagogue, the Mann Auditorium, Habimah Theatre, and Tel Aviv University. And third privately issued medal is 30th Anniversary of the Israel Philharmonic (1966), featuring musical instruments and conductors Huberman & Toscanini, struck from 115 gm of .935 fine silver by Shamir Bros.
