Rare, Museum Quality Worcester Queen's Pattern, ca. 1775, 17 Piece Tea Set. Museum quality, 18th Century Worcester tea set in the exquisite "Queen's" pattern. This exceptionally setting includes a teapot 4½ x 5 x 5", lidded milk jug 5 x 3 x 3", sucrier (sugar bowl) 4½ x 4¼ x 4¼" waste bowl 3¼ x 6½ x 6½", two plates/stands 7", a spoon tray 3½ x 6", small biscuit tray 5 x 5", tea caddy with lid 6 x 2½ 2½" and 5 vertically fluted tea bowls 1½ x 3" and 3 saucers 4½". Finely decorated with the strikingly colorful Worcester Japan pattern adapted by the 18th century Dr. Wall, first period design team from a Japanese Kakiemon original in alternating gros bleu panels, with square seal marks under glaze. All are in superior condition no cracks, chips repairs, with florets on lids intact. Highly prized and a rare find. $3,500

Three Rare, Dr. Wall Worcester Porcelain Scale Blue Potted Meat Tubs, Stands & One Plate ca. 1760. Three rare, museum quality Worcester potted meat tubs with lids and stands c.1770. All are painted with bright panels of flowers within moulded scrolling cartouches, flower and vine handles on a blue scale background, with square seal marks. Two measure 4¼ x 5½ x 4" and the slightly larger 5 x 6½ x 5" is a somewhat different pattern. Also included is a 7¼ scalloped plate. The condition of these pieces is fantastic, the fragile vine like handles and delicate flowers for the most part intact (one has a spare florette inside the tub ready for repair on stand) That these pieces are 250+ years old and in this condition is a true find. $1,500

Impressive, rare 15 piece 18th century Worcester first period, blue printed floral design porcelain coffee and tea set that required years to assemble. Overall in fine to superior condition. with blue crescent marks under glaze. The coffeepot itself is in wonderful condition. Note: the cover is a slightly different pattern and under blacklight appears to have been reglazed and fired. The teapot, creamer and sugar and small bowl, all quite scarce, are in superior condition (tiny flea bite underneath teapot lid) and five demitasse cup with saucers all in excellent condition. $1,500

Worcester Blue & White Porcelain, First Period ca. 1765, Rare Collection of Larger Serving Pieces. Collection of 6 large Worcester, 18th century blue and white porcelain pieces and quite difficult to find. 1.) a lidded butter tub and stand, crescent C mark under glaze, 3 x 4 x 4" and stand 6 x 6" in overall very fine condition with just two tiny chips where the lid is notched out to accommodate the guides. 2.) a gravy boat in superior condition, crescent C mark under glaze 3¾ x 6½ x 4". 3.) Rare large bowl, fretted square mark under glaze, 4 x 9 x 9" and in superior condition, 4. & 5.) two oval trays, crescent marks under glaze in superior condition. 6 ½ x 10" the other 7 x 9½" 6.) Very large Worcester porcelain leaf form centerpiece dish decorated with flowers and leave. Measures 14" long x 2 1/8" deep. Two flakes at outer most edge just under lip, hardly visible. All very hard to find pieces. Do note the patterns vary with each piece but quite complimentary and period similar. No cracks or repairs. $1,000

Worcester Blue & White Porcelain 2 Large Jugs, 2 Large Lattice Baskets and Tankard ca. 1765. Five 18th Century Worcester porcelain pieces. First two pieces are a large pitchers or jugs One is the cabbage leaf baluster jug in "Pecking Parrot" pattern, c.1770, blue crescent mark, 7" high, the other the cabbage leaf mask jug. Both are in superior condition, no cracks, chips, flakes or repairs crescent mark under glaze 8 x 4½ x 4½". The other two pieces are the same in pattern, two large oval lattice bowls with twisted vine handles and flowers at ever cross hatch. Overall these two pieces are in quite fine condition with only one chip each to a flower on the edges. Under blacklight, no repairs appear in the lattice work and flowers. Given their 250+ years, in remarkable condition 4 x 11 x 8½". Finally a tankard or large mug 6 x 4 x 4" in perfect condition, no mark. $900 - 1,500

Collection of Gaudy Dutch 8 Cups & 8 Saucers, Single Rose Pattern ca. 1820. Gaudy Dutch pottery was made in England for the American market from about 1810 to 1820. It is a white earthenware with Imari-style decorations of red, blue, green, yellow, and black inspired by Japanese Imari Pottery. Only sixteen patterns of Gaudy Dutch were made. Offering a fine collection of 8 cups and 8 saucers in the "Single Rose" pattern. Overall these 16 pieces are in very good to fine condition. None have cracks or repairs. Some have no issues whatsoever. And some have tiny flea bites around edges and tiny flecks and discoloration. Cups 2½ x 3½ x 3½". Saucers 5½". A fantastic collection nearly 200 years old that would take years to build. $800 - 1,000

Collection of Worcester First Period ca. 1765 Coffee Pot, Teapot, Milk Jugs. Five superior examples of 18th Century Worcester in blue printed floral designs. Designs vary slightly but compliment beautifully. In the offer is a scarce coffeepot with the fruit and wreath design in excellent condition. While in color tone like matches quite nicely it is a different design. Also two very lovely teapots both in excellent condition with one lid having three petals of the flower knob slightly chipped but the other perfect. Finally two milk jugs one with cover. in excellent condition. No cracks, breaks or repairs. All pieces have the crescent mark save for the lidded jug which has the cursive "W". $800 - 1,200

Collection of Worcester Blue & White, Chinoisere & Scenic Themed Porcelain ca. 1765. Collection 18 pieces of first period Worcester pieces from the 18th Century most with crescent marks. We have lotted the entire collection of Chinoisere inspired designs and some evidently some are in quite rare patterns. For the pattern of a scenic Chinese landscape and fisherman on a boat, the collection includes a fantastic tea caddy, 4½ x 3 x 3" a bowl 3 x 4 x 4", matching saucer 6 x 6" and a small cream pitcher. Also one saucer of a scene with bamboo fence and floral motifs, a footed bowl with a Chinese man pointing and on the other side sitting along a river, another footed bowl of a wealthy Chinese couple and child with ample harvest, a demitasse cup and saucer with a Chinese boat on a river and village in background, and finally two delicate tea bowls and saucers of birds in tree pattern. Complimenting these pieces are a collection of scenic themed or floral designs. First two scalloped plates with the blue printed "vase and bat" design 8 x 8", a saucer of Colonial era women carrying buckets atop their heads (slaves?), a milk jug with a town scene in back ground and two floral tea bowls. All of these pieces in overall excellent condition, but note one fleck in a floral tea bowl. $800 - 1,500

Rare 18th century Worcester porcelain pieces decorated in the style of James Giles with exotic birds in central cartouches to the front shouldered with insects against a royal blue ground with gilt borders and square mark under glaze. Highly prized pattern and hard to find. First a teapot 5 x 5½ x 5½" with lid and bud knob intact. Also two scalloped edged plates 7½ x 7½" and one shallow bowl 7½ x 7½". No cracks, chips or repairs. Two Rare Worcester First Period, Blue & White Porcelain Chestnut Baskets ca. 1775. Rare, highly prized, 18th century blue and white porcelain chestnut baskets. These tureens are a fine example of this era and, the execution of all the details of the flowers, vine handles on the sides and the open lattice work on the cover in oval form are beautifully rendered. Both just at 5½ x 5¾ x 8". Note one has the pine cone details on the exterior walls painted blue, the other plain and both with crescent marks under glaze. Given their 250 years age we do note very minor issues. On both, a couple of flowers do have a single petal missing or slightly chipped, a couple of the flowers professionally affixed and we note just a couple of leaves as well have tiny chips. Overall these pieces remain in very fine conditon. No large chips, flakes or cracks and again, the colors vibrant, the pieces very clean, and again supremely scarce. $700 - 1,200

Offered are three jars, each very slightly different in pattern but complimentary, We recognize "Queen's" pattern and Jaberwocky 5 x 2½ x 2½" a bowl in the "Queen's" pattern 3 x 6 x 6" an a plate 7" x 7" very similar to the "Queen's" pattern but with more detail in the blue panels. It is a white earthenware with Imari-style decorations of red, blue, green, yellow, and black inspired by Japanese Imari Pottery. Only sixteen patterns of Gaudy Dutch were made. Offered are three exceptional pieces in the "Single Rose" pattern. First a teapot in very good to fine condition. No cracks or repairs and just a very few small flecks within floral motif, and flea bites on lip of pot. 6¼ x 9½ x 4½". Shallow dish 1" x 7¼ x 7¼ and virtually flawless. Finally a waste bowl for teapot 3½ x 6¼ x 6¼" in overall very good to fine condition with no cracks or repairs and only the most minor of flecks and a scratch or two. Rare First Period Worcester Teapots, Milk Jug & Bowl in Chinoisiere Patterns. 18th Century Worcester (Dr. Wall design team) in a variety of rare Chinoiserie patterns. 3 teapots each about 5½ x 5 x 5". The first teapot is an exceptionally rare pattern of a Chinese family and interior and is absolutely charming with wonderful details and in superior condition with no chips, cracks or repairs, unmarked and an absolute find. The second teapot in only blues and oranges is another rare design with cross hatch crescent mark. We detect some minor flea bites at base, floral knob on lid professionally repaired and tiny glaze fissure inside tip of spout. Third teapot boasts another serene scene of a Chinese family, again an evidently very scarce pattern, unmarked. Some fading/wear to design and knob on lid missing. Complimenting the teapots is a bowl decorated with a serene and humble Chinese garden 3 x 6¼ x 6¼", very rare and in superior condition with only some wear to the floral art inside bottom of bowl, boasting no chips, cracks or repairs. Finally a milk jug in yet another very scarce pattern, slight repair to spout and handle. In spite of the minor condition issues, again all pieces quite rare. $500 - 800

Two matching pieces in the strikingly colorful Worcester Japan pattern adapted by the 18th century Dr. Wall design team with blue square mark under glaze. Very scarce pattern of delicate blossoms similar to honeysuckle and stunningly rendered blue and yellow breasted birds with orange tails. First is a sucrier (sugar bowl) with lid, blossom atop lid with just a flea bite to one petal, in simply excellent condition, 5¼ x 4" the other a bowl 3½ x 6" with inside bottom of bowl painted blossom all but worn down but exterior of bowl very fine. Fine Collection of 4 First Period Dr. Wall Worcester Porcelain Cups and Saucers & 1 Lidded Butter Pot ca. 1770s. Fine collection of 18th Century Worcester porcelain. In the offer are two tea bowls and saucers, two demitasse cups and saucers, and one lidded pot. The two tea bowls and saucers, the blue and white boasts lovely floral designs and insects with square marks under glaze. The other in bold orange-reds with gilt cross hatching with fan designs and delicate flowers, unmarked. Both in superior condition. The scale blue demitasse cup with matching saucer boasts exotic birds and insects both with fretted square marks under glaze. The fourth set is a bit of a cheat with the same bird and insect design but the saucer is of a slightly different pattern (no birds, scalloped edge saucer, but visually very close. Finally a lidded butter pot in very fine condition with delicate purple flowers and bold cobalt and gilt detailing trim and bold floral knob on lid, with the "W" mark on base and evidently scarce. No chips, cracks or repairs. $400 - 600

Two handled cup 3 x 4 x 4" a small shallow bowl that may in fact be the saucer 1½ x 5¾ x 5¾" as it accommodates the two handles, both unmarked, and a large shallow bowl 1½ x 7¾ x 7¾" which has a blue crescent mark. Sterling Silver, Art Nouveau, Seven Piece Tea Service by Ivan Peterson. Outstanding early 20th century six piece, Art Nouveau, sterling silver tea service and sterling silver tray by Ivan Peterson. Gorgeous set distinguirshed with sculpted sterling silver calla lilies details on lids an on the tray along with bone accents. The tray is the largest piece 32 x 20 x 2", weighs 163 ozt and is the only piece monogrammed with the letters "FFB" in the center. Due to the weight and passing years, the bone handles have been broken off but are included. Creative replacements could easily address this issue. But the tea set itself is in excellent condition. Tea pot with stand (15 x 9 x 8" total 70 ozt) Coffee pot (9½ x 10 x 6" total 29 ozt) Tea pot (9 x 8¼ x 7" total 26¼ ozt.) On the sides are painted, in great detail, a traditional Shunga (erotic) scene of coupling. Meissen Blanc de Chine Figure, German. Blanc de Chine is an enormously popular porcelain that first made at Dehua in the Fujian province, otherwise known as Dehua porcelain. Acclaimed German porcelain manufacturer, Meissen, began copying the syle of the porcelain in the 1800s. Offered is such a piece of a Chinese tailor, threading a needle sitting cross legged and overlapping the base. Superb detail to fingers and facial expression. 7¾ x 6½ x 6½" and sits on a Chinese wood base. Mint condition no breaks or repairs including the delicate hands. Struck, with crossed swords in underglaze blue and further impressed crossed swords, and incised R.2.87. $300 - 500

WMF IKORA German Art Glass Vase. Beautiful WMF Ikora glass vase, orange and red coloration, 10" in height, 8½" in width, Germany, c. 1930-1950. Most WMF Ikora pieces are quite heavy-walled, with flat bottoms. A distinct pattern of vertical stripes is characteristic of many pieces. All of these vases are attributed to WMF's principal designer and general manager from the 1920's to the 1950's, Karl Wiedmann. The vase presented here falls into both categories attributed to Karl Wiedman. Fine. $200 - 350
