Lot 371		1835 Original Portrait of G. Foote Leathatt. Original oil painting a classic portrait of the gentleman, G. Foote Leathatt. We cannot find anything regarding this individual but on verso affixed to canvas is and handwritten note on laid paper that reads "Intended for the likeness of G. Foote Leathatt by Ramsey July 16, 1835. Oil on canvas 14 x 10½" framed in gilt wood to 19 x 16". Lot 372		Anonymous. Pastoral Landscape. Beautiful oil on canvas, unsigned but clearly a very early 20th century painting recently re-stretched. On closer inspection, it appears the very tiny figures may be Mennonites given their headwear, but just too small to be certain. Nevertheless it is the beauty of the landscape captured in soft light while cattle graze near a stream and a farmer, his dog and family take in the beauty of the moment. Actual painting measures 16 x 20" framed to 21¾ x 25¾" that appears to be of considerable age. Painting has couple of surface blemishes and some crazing given the age but in no way impacts the appearance in any significant way. Lot 373		Homan, Kay. Full Gallop. Mustangs Accomplished Western artist, Kay Homan, currently lives in Providence, Utah. Her award winning watercolors have achieved recognition and appreciation both in the U.S. and Canada including a 5 year exhibition at the prestigious Gene Autry Museum of Western Heritage. Offered is a beautiful original watercolor on paper of horses at full gallop negotiating the rough terrain of a mountain gorge. Wonderful sunset colors with remarkable detail especially in the hint of dust. Watercolor is 12 x 16" very handsomely framed in dark brown-copper finished wood and linen matted to 22" x 26" signed by the artist and dated in lower right. Lot 374		Interlandi, Phil. Untitled, 1970. Phil Interlandi (1924-2002) was an American cartoonist whose work appeared in a number of national publications, perhaps most notably Playboy. Mixed media on board. Measures 12 x 18½"; matted and framed to 14¾ x 12". In excellent condition. Interlandi's take on an artist at work in the studio with a live model showcases his characteristic wit. Poland's Anna and Andy Orlinski, are known the world over for their historic maritime paintings and have proven time and again to be one of this auction house's most popular artists. No doubt their appeal lies in their consistent dramatic renderings and astounding attention to detail of significant naval battles in history. Here in this utterly compelling scene of battle, the French 32 gun frigate La Prudente with La Cybéle attempted to break the British blockade engaging the HMS Centurion and the HMS Diomede in October of 1794.
