Lot 2152
1924-D. PCGS graded MS-62. A hint of light tone. Some marks on both sides. This is a low survival date and mint, with the total around today numbering just over 1,000 coins. Mint State examples are the majority, but most have moderate bagmarks. This example offers nice luster and reasonably attractive surfaces. Virtually all of those fall into the grade range of AU-55 up to MS-64. Gems are prohibitive for most collectors, and would bring a price of 15 to 20 times what this example is expected to realize! An important rarity for the collector in a nice mid grade range (PCGS # 9178) .
Estimated Value $4,000 - 4,200.
