Lot 2118
1874-CC. PCGS graded AU-58. Nice reflective fields on both sides. Only 2,131 examples are estimated to have survived and this is one of the nicer examples, as noted in the figures to follow. The reverse has the scarcer Type II design with the denomination noted as TWENTY D. which became spelled out after 1876. A prize for the astute collector! Pop 63; 18 finer, 8 in 60, 8 in 61, 2 in 62 (PCGS # 8971) .
