Lot 2013
1853. NGC graded MS-67. Housed in an Old Style Holder. Light even toning and boldly struck. Great eye appeal with phenominal surfaces that are virtually pristine. Although a plentiful date, at this lofty grade there are just a handful that can compare, and none are graded finer. Pop 9; none finer at NGC (PCGS # 7521) .
Estimated Value $12,000 - 13,000.

Lot 2014
1853-C. PCGS graded MS-62. Untoned and lustrous. This is a challenging Charlotte Mint coin to find in all grades, and many of those that do survive show planchet chips or splits, this one has only one tiny flaw near the top of the reverse. The strike is fairly sharp for this issue as well, and the surfaces are pleasing for the grade assigned. Only 11,515 struck. Pop 14; 5 finer in 63. (PCGS # 7522) .
Estimated Value $5,000 - 5,500.
