Apollo 1 original "Apollo Flight Crew Emblem" crew patch. This is one of the genuine "official" crew patches (3½") as given to Deke Slayton in his official capacity as Director of Flight Operations by Apollo 1 crew member Gus Grissom prior to the fire in which the crew lost their lives. Includes a copy of two notes (original on file) found with the patches in Slayton's estate. One is a NASA card reading "Item: 'Apollo Flight Crew Emblem' (Part No ACS204/Date Sept 19/1966/Quantity 15/Aug 1966)" and bears two official handstmaps. 2005 Bobbi Slayton COA.
