Manchukuo. 1934 Return of Emperor & Empress color postcard set (x2). Two sets of 5 color picture postcards printed in Japan by The South Manchurian Railway Company. Both sets have the March 1, 1934 Memorial Day card with the '1934' correction sticker placed over '1933' that was printed by mistake. Other color cards are from second printing. Each set is housed in its original folder. Folders show some aging. Cards are in excellent condition.

Several have straight line postal markings that include MEXICO in both black and red as well as one in box with curved sides, VERACRUZ, YRAPUATO (Irapuato today) and VALLADOLID. Strikes range from good to very good. Cintents have not been fully read but several appear to contain interesting content. Some staining here and there but most are in nice condition for period.
