Cardozo, Benjamin N (1870-1938) American jurist who served on the New York Court of Appeals and as an Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court (1932-1938). Autograph letter signed, 3 pages, in pencil, on personal stationery, 6½ x 5 1/8 in., Rye, N.Y., Aug. 10, 1935. Written during the summer recess of the Supreme Court to M.M. Menken, expressing pleasure at Menken's improved health and discussing his own health: "The doctors promise me a full return of health and strength before court reopens in October. Meanwhile, after the manner of doctors, they subject me to all manner of burdensome restraits…." One faint rust mark from paper clip on page 1, else fine.

Signed Portrait Photo Presentation of All Nine Supreme Court Justices, Winter 1990. Alexander White III a professor of history at UCLA was presented with this signed presentation and photo by all nine Supreme Court Justices in the Winter of 1990. Those sitting were Thurgood Marshall, Sandra Day O'Connor, Anthony Kennedy, William Rehnquist, Antonin Scalia, Harry Blackman, John Paul Stevens, William J. Brennan Jr. and Byron R. White. All signatures exceptionally bold and clear, signed in mat below their official color portrait which measures 11" x 14". Handsomely framed to 18" x 22". Very fine.

[Supreme Court Justices] 19th - 21st Century. Group of 23 signed calling cards from a variety of Supreme Court Justices. Various sizes (2 x 3½"- 4½ x 6"), 17 are signed on "Supreme Court of the United States" cards. The group includes: Melvin W. Fuller, Joseph P. Bradley ("Jos: P. Bradley"), Nathan Clifford, Stephen J. Field, Harold A. Burton, Ruth Bader Ginsberg, Lewis F. Powell, Clarence Thomas, Tom Clark, William J. Brennan, Jr., Abe Fortas, William O. Douglas ("W.O. Douglas"), Thurgood Marshall, Byron R. White, David Souter, Harry A. Blackmun, William H. Rehnquist, and John Paul Stevens ("J.P. Stevens"). Warren E. Burger, the Chief Justice has signed and inscribed on the bottom of a letter asking for a signed card: "Have none / Warren E Burger." A few cards are lightly age toned. Overall very good condition.
