Collection of Vintage 19th Century Sheet Music. Beautiful collection of sheet music, approximately 34 pieces, 14" x 10½", dated from early 1800's, various music publishers. Highly decorative covers featuring period art work. Titles include: Grand Entrée March, Geronimo's Own Medicine Song, La Belle Julie, Under the Willow She's Sleeping, Lizzie Dies To-Night and My Old Kentucky Home, Good Night. All are sleeved and contained in a 15" x 12½" presentation binder. Overall in very good condition.

Woody Guthrie Rare, Twice Signed Contract, 1950s. Document Signed, twice, partially printed, accomplished in autograph, 4 pp., 11 x 8½ in., New York, c. 1950's. Being an unexecuted songwriter's contract between Guthrie and People's Songs, Inc. assigning his unpublished original song entitled "Talking Dust Bowl Blues." On page 2 Guthrie has written his full name and address "Woody Guthrie / 3520 Mermaid Avenue, Brooklyn, 24, N.Y." On page 3 Guthrie has signed his name and added "100%" regarding his share of the proceeds from the song. Perhaps that is way the contract was never consummated? And on page 4, Guthrie, once again, has signed on the appointed line for song writer. Age toned. Four small staple holes on each page at top left corner. Overall in very good condition.

Woody Guthrie Signed Contract, 1950 (1912 - 1967) American singer-songwriter and musician whose musical legacy includes hundreds of political, traditional and children's songs, ballads and improvised works. Many of Guthrie's songs are about his experiences in the Dust Bowl era during the Great Depression. Guthrie traveled with displaced farmers from Oklahoma to California and learned their traditional folk and blues songs, earning him the nickname the "Dust Bowl Troubadour." Document Signed, one page, partially printed, accomplished in typescript, New York, June 25, 1950. Being a contractual agreement between Guthrie and Peoples Artists, Inc. regarding royalties for Guthrie's song "Put My Name Down". Lightly toned with minor page loss at top left corner. Otherwise in very good condition.
