GONE WITH THE WIND - Archive of 12 Related Signatures, Including Signed Checks/Letters by Gable, Selznick, de Havilland. A dream collection of related signatures of cast and production to Gone With The Wind including a superb signed check with a strong signature by Clark Gable (Rhett Butler), an equally bold signed check by producer, David O. Selznick made payable to actor Charles Boyer dated 1937, two (2) signed letters by Olivia de Havilland (Melanie Hamilton), one actually discussing the disappointing quality of the GWTW merchandise from The Franklin Mint and their advertising brochures, but a second letter is included from Ms. de Havilland for it boasts a large and beautiful signature from the legendary actress. Also included in this collection are signatures/cuts and include Butterfly McQueen (Prissy), Mary Anderson (Maybelle Merriwether), two signatures from Fred Crane (Brent Tarleton, with Crane famously mis-credited in the film as Stuart, George Reeves played Stuart), Eric Linden (amputation scene), William Bakewell (Mounted Officer), a signed card from the great character actor and Oscar winner, Richard Farnsworth (uncredited soldier but definitely in the film.) Finally a very nice 8" x 10" still taken during the motorcade through Atlanta for the premiere of GWTW signed boldly by Ann Rutherford (Carreen O'Hara) as well as a First Day of Issue cover issued Jan. 25, 2006 celebrating Hattie McDaniel (Mammy).

Gaye, Jr."), one page, 10¼ x 8¼", blue ink, n.p., 1977. Gaye has inscribed on the back of folio cover: "To Baby Sister / & Family / May God Bless & Keep You & Your / Blessed Family in Peace & Love / Sincerely / Marvin P. Gaye, Jr. / '77'." 5 Signatures of Former Teen Idols Including Rare River Phoenix. Five cut signatures of former teen idols. First, a young actor who not only demonstrated incredible promise at a very young age, transforming into a brilliant young actor until his life was tragically cut short at age 23 by heart failure on Sunset Boulevard. River Phoenix starred in such films as Stand By Me, The Mosquito Coast, Running on Empty, My Own Private Idaho and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Also included in this collection is Matt Dillon whose career started with the teen romance Little Darlings, Tex, and The Outsiders and then continued into adulthood with a great career with such films like Drugstore Cowboy, To Die For, Wild Hearts, actually too many great performance to list. Also included is Jason Priestly who certainly made his mark with Beverly Hills 90210 who is now a semi-professional race car driver and featured actor and director. And for those teens in the early 1950s and 1960s two of the biggest idols in those decades, Tab Hunter and George Hamilton. All on cards of various sizes with excellent bold signatures.

Great collection of 9 autographed 8" x 10" stills by women who distinguished themselves both on stage and screen. A nicely inscribed and signed still of Liza Minnelli from the late 1970s, a signed image by Ann Miller dated 1992, a glamorous portrait of Bernadette Peters boldly signed, and great signed portraits of the late Elaine Stritch, a wonderful Lillian Roth, Peggy Lee, Carol Channing from the stage production of HELLO DOLLY, a great vintage signed still by the legendary, Ethel Merman, and finally a vintage restrike of the Jack Mitchell portrait of famed choreographer Agnes De Mille signed and dated 1984.

First a vintage re-strike photo boldly signed by producer Hal Roach. A vintage original, double-weight black and white still stamped on verso MGM's latest Our Gang comedy CAPATAIN SPANKY'S SHOWBOAT dated July 7, 1939. Finally two different restrike photos from Our Gang both boldly signed by Gordon Porky Lee.
All photos in excellent condition with the vintage Hood especially nice.

To Harry Sparks, regretting the delay in receiving and answering his mail ("…it must have traveled by burro…") and enclosing a 7 x 5" autographed picture (which is present here) signed on the lower white border, "Gracias! Special decorative program commemorating Drew's 100th performance at the Standard Theatre in The Masked Ball by Alexandre Bisson and Albert Carre, starring John Drew as "Dr. Paul Blonder."
